At Alasaly Law Group, we are a team of exceptionally hard-working lawyers who want our clients to feel comfortable and satisfied with the results. We specialize in the areas of family law, and wills and estates. We are also pleased to provide unbundled legal services. Our lawyers are there to help you all along the way.
At Alasaly Law Group, we provide our expertise to try and settle matters outside of court, to save time and resources. However in the case that a court appearance becomes absolutely necessary, Sarah and her team will gladly go and represent her clients in court and help the ensuing legalities with her proven track record of success.
Sarah graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing in 2010. She practiced as a Registered Nurse for almost 5 years in two of the busiest hospitals in BC before going to law school in Ontario. While working as a Registered Nurse, Sarah served patients in the areas of Labour and Delivery and Acute Medicine.
Sarah continued to work as a Registered Nurse while in law school until she joined a large national law firm as a summer student and articling student.
Sarah obtained her law degree from the University of Ottawa. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 2017 and subsequently was called to the BC Bar in April 2018. Since then, a majority of her time has been spent specializing in family law and wills and estates.
Sarah is a qualified Family Law Mediator and is in the process of becoming a Collaborative family law practitioner.
Sarah is honest, genuine, and friendly. Her down to earth, yet straightforward personality is something that her clients and colleagues always appreciate. Nothing makes Sarah happier than to lead her clients through the storm and into the next chapter of their lives.
For Sarah, clients are family. She truly cares about her clients and sincerely wants to see them succeed. She is there for them – not just as their lawyer, but as family.
Not only does Sarah care tremendously for her clients, but her work ethic and experience as a lawyer specializing in family law and wills and estates also make her a valuable asset to have in your corner.
This is why Sarah resolves a vast majority of her clients’ matters in a time and cost-efficient manner without court intervention. While Sarah does her best to resolve matters outside of court, she understands that sometimes it is necessary to take the matters to court. She has appeared and succeeded at both the BC Provincial Court and Supreme Court levels.
Sarah’s training and experiences as a Registered Nurse enable her to be both a compassionate listener outside of the courtroom and a strong advocate in settlement negotiations and inside the courtroom.
Sarah was born in Ottawa and raised in Vancouver. She moved to Victoria shortly after she was called to the BC Bar.
When Sarah is not working, you can find her horseback riding at her favourite stable. She believes horses are the most wonderful creatures, and her connection with horses allows her to be more connected with nature. When not at the stables, you can find Sarah walking on the beach, playing tennis with her husband or at a hot yoga studio. Sarah also loves exploring the different restaurants in town.
Sarah is pleased to serve as a member of the following organizations:
Law Society of BC
BC College of Nursing Professionals
Canadian Bar Association
Trial Lawyers Association of BC
Director on Westshore Chamber of Commerce
Lawyers of Distinction 2020
